🍁Maple Fest @ Camp Lazurus

Saturday, 9 am-12 pm

All are welcome!  Open to scouts and the public!  No pre-registration is needed!

Daily Admission at Front Gate: $15 (does not include meals)

Online-only Special Package: $20, package includes one festival admission, one meal in the dining hall, one event patch (offer closes at 11:59 pm the last Sunday in February). 

PARKING: parking is at Columbus State Delaware Campus just south of camp off Greif Road. we have a free shuttle to camp.

Dress appropriately for the weather, most of the activites are so outdoors.  We celebrate rain or shine (or snow)!!

Pancake Feast served in the Dining Hall from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for an additional $5.  Hot dogs and chips are also available in the afternoon.

Learn about the history of maple syrup and watch maple syrup being crafted in our Sugar Shack! 

Hand-crafted Camp Lazarus Maple Syrup will be available for sale while supplies last! Maple candy and event patches will also be available for purchase while supplies last.

Other activities include shooting BBs, pioneer area w/blacksmith, rope making, primitive firebuilding, Native American dancing, and many other family fun activities!!

🍎Worthington Farmer’s Market-Indoor

Saturday, 9 am-12 pm

The Worthington Farmers Market is back, and we’re indoors! The Market will be open Saturdays in February and March from 9am-12pm inside The Shops at Worthington Place (N. High Street x W. Wilson Bridge Road) in Worthington.

Pre-ordering for pick-up on Saturday is encouraged to expedite your trip to the Market and to ensure availability of popular items. Place your orders with your favorite producers, then, visit those producer stalls on Saturday morning to pick-up your items from the vendors from whom you have ordered.

🍁Maple Sugar Celebration @ Stratford

Saturday, 10 am-2 pm

Bring the whole family to Stratford for a self-guided exploration to celebrate this special time of year.  From farm to forest discover the early signs of spring. Celebrate the maple sugar season with us as you hold a new baby lamb, learn how to tap a tree, visit the Sugar Shack, taste maple syrup, visit the greenhouse, feed the chickens, and more. After your adventure, warm up by the fire as you enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a maple cookie. ​Before you head home, be sure to stop in the farm store to take the makings of a delicious and hearty Stratford breakfast home with you – Stratford Family pancake mix, pure maple syrup, and farm fresh sausage will be available for purchase.

$10 per person. Ages 2 and under free.  Limited spaces available. Online registration for your family’s arrival time is required due to potential limited parking during muddy, spring weather.

Saturday, 10-11 am

Visit vernal pools to catch and release salamanders.

🥾Winter Hike and Campfire@ Infirmary Mound Park

Saturday 12-3 pm

Take a self-guided hike through Infirmary Mound Park, find the activity stations and unscramble a puzzle and win a prize. End at the campfire for hot chocolate and s’mores. Bring your own hot dogs/buns for lunch, we will provide condiments! Activities start at the Arena area.

Take a half-mile hike along the Buttonbush Trail to listen and search for singing frogs

🐸Amphibian Adventure @Rocky Fork

Sunday, 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

Take a 1.5 mile off trail hike to search for breeding amphibians. Wear waterproof shoes.

🦎Preschool: Salamanders @Homestead

Join the naturalist for story time and a craft as we learn about these elusive amphibians!

🌱Franklin Park Conservatory Community Day

Sunday, 10 am-5 pm

Community Day is the first Sunday of every month. Residents of Columbus and Franklin County receive free general admission. Community Days include access to the entirety of our gardens and collections and current daytime exhibitions. Admission to special engagements on select evenings (Chihuly Nights, Pumpkins Aglow, Conservatory Aglow) is not included.
