🍁Malabar Farm State Park Maple Syrup 

Festival: March 12, and 13, from 12 – 4 p.m. Join Malabar Farm for their annual Maple Syrup Festival. Experience sugar camp with live historic and modern demonstrations, horse drawn wagon rides, food and maple products to taste and buy. Visitors will also have to opportunity to take self-guided tours of the historic “Big House”.

Join the City of Dublin for the official dedication of The Dublin Link bridge and grand opening of Riverside Crossing Park! Enjoy strolling entertainment, live music, ice skating performances and a light show on the bridge. It’s a community celebration you won’t want to miss!

Who’s ready for a great game of leprechaun hide-and-seek? Find one of the 100 leprechauns we’ve hidden throughout the park’s picnic areas, and return it to the Naturalist Office between 10am-4pm for a prize!

Central Ohio’s Greenest, Grandest Parade returns to Historic Dublin! Led by the 2022 Grand Leprechauns Keiko and Yoshihiro Hidaka, approximately 100 participants including marching bands, equestrian groups, floats and novelty/antique vehicles will delight spectators of all ages.

🐸Amphibian Adventure @Rocky Fork

12-1:30 pm

Take a 1.5 mile off trail hike to search for breeding amphibians. Wear waterproof shoes.

💐National Plant-A-Flower Day-Make a Seed Tape

Saturday, 1-3

Stop by the nature center between the hours of 1pm and 3pm to make a seed tape- an easy, mess-free way to start growing flowers in your garden. Program for ages 6-12.

Meeting location notes- Nature Center: Highbanks Nature Center is the first right after entering the park. Limited parking in the nature center parking lot on busy days. Additional parking available in the Oak Coves Picnic Area. The Oak Coves picnic area, 10-min walk from the nature center. Follow the paved trail through Oak coves toward the nature center.

🐸Wetland Walk

Sunday, 10 am

Take a 3 mile walk at the wetland to look and listen for animals that call it home. 

Trails will be wet and muddy!

🌅Sunset Hike @Highbanks Nature Center

Saturday, 6-7:45 pm

Hike 2.5 miles to the Overlook Deck and watch the sun set over the river. Limited interpretive stops. Trail includes steep hills and uneven ground. Bring a flashlight for the hike back to the nature center.

🐸For Families-Vernal Pool Exploration

Sunday, 1 pm

Learn about vernal pools as we explore this important habitat and the animals that use it as their nursery and home. We will get wet and dirty, so be sure to come prepared!

🐸Secret Swamp @Slate Run

Sunday, 2-3 pm

Take a 1-mile rugged round-trip hike to the swamp and search for salamanders, frogs and other critters.

✍🏼Kids Can Draw: Praying Mantises @Blacklick Woods

Sunday, 4-5 pm

Ages 8-14. Learn fun facts about praying mantises and follow along as we draw a mantis. Materials provided.
