🍁Malabar Farm State Park Maple Syrup
Festival: March 12, and 13, from 12 – 4 p.m. Join Malabar Farm for their annual Maple Syrup Festival. Experience sugar camp with live historic and modern demonstrations, horse drawn wagon rides, food and maple products to taste and buy. Visitors will also have to opportunity to take self-guided tours of the historic “Big House”.

🐸Amphibian Adventure @Rocky Fork

Take a 1.5 mile off trail hike to search for breeding amphibians. Wear waterproof shoes.
💐National Plant-A-Flower Day-Make a Seed Tape

Stop by the nature center between the hours of 1pm and 3pm to make a seed tape- an easy, mess-free way to start growing flowers in your garden. Program for ages 6-12.
Meeting location notes- Nature Center: Highbanks Nature Center is the first right after entering the park. Limited parking in the nature center parking lot on busy days. Additional parking available in the Oak Coves Picnic Area. The Oak Coves picnic area, 10-min walk from the nature center. Follow the paved trail through Oak coves toward the nature center.

Hike 2.5 miles to the Overlook Deck and watch the sun set over the river. Limited interpretive stops. Trail includes steep hills and uneven ground. Bring a flashlight for the hike back to the nature center.
