Tumblin 4 Kids 🤸🏼♂️
We had our first class this week. My 3 year old’s favorite was rolling down the ramp slide, snaking through the tunnel and the froggy jump. My 5 year old’s favorite was the gallop to a cartwheel(the girl has been dreaming of cartwheels). I was pleased with the entire class, in particular learning the correct technique to be safe. The tired and healthier kids afterwards were added perks!

What is AASRT?
Age Appropriate Sports Readiness Training
Creative Movement
Class begins with 8 – 10 minutes of cardiovascular exercise through the use of creative movement. We run, skip, gallop, hop, throw, bounce & catch balls of all sizes, dance with beanie babies, jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups and more! Our goal is to build your child’s endurance and cardiovascular health.
Kid Stretch
A few moments spent doing multiple mat positions that develop flexibility and teach your students to stretch their muscles before any physical activity. They learn the butterfly, pike, sandwich, straddle split, little & big bridge, table top, arm circles, wrist and ankle warm ups.
Gymnastics
We teach the children according to their ability. In tumbling our goal for this age is to develop upper body strength, kinesthetic awareness, confidence in being in an inverted position, an understanding of falling techniques and landing positions. We use various drills that require them to go upside down, tuck, roll, turn, jump, go backwards, go down inclines, and more! All elements are progressive and will lead to another skill. On the bar, we build upper body strength by swinging in tuck, pike, straddle and straight body positions. The balance beam is challenging and requires concentration to walk forward, backward, sideways, pivot turn, step over a star and more. Vaulting trains the lower body in running, jumping and moving up & off. We teach all our elements through fun activities and constantly try to keep the children moving in a gymnastic circuit/course.
