Commons for Kids on Fridays in Summer
@ Columbus Commons
160 S High St. Columbus
Did you know that Columbus Commons provides free family fun on Fridays in summer, from 10 AM-1 PM? We attended for the first time last Friday. The girls had a blast! Carousel rides, inflatables(water slide, say what?), craft by OSU Urban Arts Space, imagination garden and rocking out with instruments with Columbus Folk Music Society.
Take a glimpse through pictures and get more details here below. #sponsored
🎠The carousel has all types of animals. Various houses, zebra, tiger, frog, fish, dragon, and I know I am missing more.
There were other vendors in tents on both sides of the area.
They had a football obstacle race for pairs of two, ending with a slide in the back. There was another inflatable with a hanging beach ball to hit back and forth.
💦This was the water slide inflatable, you climb up an incline on slats and then enjoy a refreshing wet slide down.
🎵My girls loved the Columbus Folk Music Society. They had all sorts of kid instruments as well as some real adult instruments on a picnic blanket.
👍🏻The parachute was a fun surprise. 🤔The building blocks were a nice challenge. 🐢The Columbus Zoo attended this Friday and brought a turtle and a blue parrot.
🐜They had the cutest little tables and chairs with umbrellas that worked out perfect for our picnic.
📸There was also a giant frame to capture a picture of your kids in right behind this area.
🍦FYI- there is a Tortilla Restaurant and Jeni’s Ice Cream available to purchase.
📍Do expect lines and bring some patience and water/snacks 😉. Sunblock and hats are a great idea too!
