Whetstone Park in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio is a large city park! It’s home to the Columbus Park of Roses, a prairie, multiple sports courts and fields, a creek, shelter houses and an updated playground!
Adjacent to Whetstone Park is the Whetstone Community Center (with its own playground) and the Whetstone Branch of Columbus Metropolitan Library, so you can plan a visit to the library and two playgrounds to make an outing out of it!

Features of the playground at Whetstone Park include:
A play structure for older kids with three slides and lots of climbing elements
Including a double, divided slide for racing!
This play structure has interactive elements on it and lots of different ways to get on the play structure by climbing.
A separate climber/monkey bars
Animals to climb on including a seal and panda . . .
dinosaur and camel . . .
and a gorilla and elephant!
A tire swing
A small set of swings including 2 toddler bucket swings and an accessible swing
The playground equipment below isn’t new. It’s made for kids ages 5-12 and has some unique elements for balancing and climbing plus a small slide.
Make sure to visit the Park of Roses when you’re in Whetstone Park! Peak season is May and June but there are blooms throughout the whole summer.
