Weekend Roundup 8/27-8/29

I’m getting this out early, because tomorrow is my birthday!  There are lots of festivals for dogs and humans, concerts(including the Shazzbots!), gallery hop and a parade this weekend.  And an outdoor screening of Croods: A New Age.  And don’t forget the park programs, enjoy!

Gift of Music – August 28-29September 4-5 – The Gift of Music is a music instrument drive organized by the Columbus Music Commission. Spanning two weekends, folks can drop of their used instruments collecting dust in their attics or garages to more than 10 curb-side drop-off locations around central Ohio. The instruments will be donated to central Ohio students to ensure they have access to music education. HERE for more info.

Powell Community Summer Concert Series

Friday August 27, 6-9 PM

The traditional Powell Festival will be held as a three-part summer concert series instead of a one-time annual weekend of festivities this year. The concert series will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, June 25, July 30 and Aug. 27 on the McClurg Properties Stage in Village Green Park, 47 Hall Street.

Concerts will be held in collaboration with the Downtown Powell Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA).

New Albany Founders Day Parade and Festival

Join us for an exciting return of the New Albany Founders Day Parade and Festival. To help celebrate a return to “normal” this year’s festival is going all out. We start the day with the Rose Run 5K at 8AM, then have the new Rose Run Park dedication at 10:30AM, then the Dr. Glyde A. Marsh Founders Day Parade starting at 11AM, and then our festival with rides, vendors, and food.

WAG! Fest supports dogs in need. We help over 30 Central Ohio dog-serving organizations reach thousands of donors and potential adopters each year.

The Grandview Hop – August 2021

The Grandview Hop is Grandview’s summertime night market and evening stroll, hosted on the last Saturday of each month throughout the summer!
