For Families: Go Creeking @Highbanks Big Meadow Picnic Area

Saturday, August 21, 2-3 PM

Come explore the Olentangy River and look for some of the animals that call the water home. Naturalists will supply nets and buckets, but you are welcome to bring your own. Prepare to get wet! Old tennis shoes work best for this program (no flip flops). Shoes must be worn during the program to prevent feet from being cut by sharp rocks. Be prepared for a 5 minute walk to the river. Bug spray recommended. All ages welcome.

Details on meeting location: Big Meadows Picnic Area is at the back of the park. After you enter the park, take the main road down the hill. At the bottom of hill, take the ROAD on the LEFT. Park in the lot with a playground. Meet near restrooms.


Explore Sugarbush Day Camp @Blendon Woods Metro Park

Puzzle of Pots – Archaeology, Can You Dig It?@Driving Park – Meeting Room 3

Calling all junior archaeologists! Decorate a ceramic pot and smash it into an archaeological puzzle. Work in an archaeological dig to find your artifact and put it back together. Groups call ahead.
