🌳Worthington Village Green Arbor Day Celebration

The Worthington community will celebrate the beauty of trees and the benefits they bring to our neighborhoods with a tree planting at Noon on the northeast Village Green this Arbor Day, Friday, April 29, 2022. Community members and school students are invited to attend the ceremony and help plant the tree. Tree saplings will be distributed to those in attendance. 🌳Dublin’s Arbor Day Celebration

Saturday 9am-12pm

Please join the City of Dublin in celebrating Arbor Day in a fun community event! The City’s forestry experts will be handing out free tree seedlings while answering everything you ever wanted to know about trees.

Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to Noon

Tree planting at 10 a.m.

Belvedere Park

8055 Summerhouse Drive East

At 10 a.m., your City foresters will plant a tree in commemoration of Arbor Day while demonstrating good tree planting techniques. Volunteers from the crowd will be invited to help add soil around the tree’s roots. You can also learn the proper way to prune and mulch trees in your yard, enter a raffle for a larger tree and discover the important role trees play in our community.

Come mingle with neighbors and enjoy light refreshments. This event will take place rain or shine.

🐥The 35th Annual Duckling Day

Saturday, April 30

10:30am – 12:00pm

The Whetstone favorite, Duckling Day will make its in-person return on April 30th for the 35th Annual Duckling Day. We celebrate Robert McCloskey’s classic, Caldecott Medal, picture book, Make Way For Ducklings. Bring your child dressed as a duckling to participate in the parade with Mrs. Mallard and her friends. There will be live music, ducks, and a puppet show. Costume packets with the supplies to make your duckling costume will be available at the Whetstone branch starting on March 30th. This will be an outdoor only event.  Rain or shine.

🌳Arbor Day Festival @ Dawes Arboretum

Help us celebrate all things trees with hands-on activities for kids, mini-talks from our plant experts, tree climbing, live music and more!  We’ll be giving away tree seedlings (while supplies last) and food trucks will have food for purchase.  Plus, visitors will get a sneak peek at the new History Center exhibit.

🌱For Families-Make a Seed Tape

Saturday, 1-3 pm

Stop by the nature center between the hours of 1pm and 3pm to make a seed tape- an easy, mess-free way to start growing flowers in your garden. Program for ages 6-12.

Meeting location notes- Nature Center: Highbanks Nature Center is the first right after entering the park. Limited parking in the nature center parking lot on busy days. Additional parking available in the Oak Coves Picnic Area. The Oak Coves picnic area, 10-min walk from the nature center. Follow the paved trail through Oak coves toward the nature center.

🖌2022 Merion Village Mural

🎨OTE Art Walk

Introducing the OTE ART WALK! The art walk will kickoff this season during the Olde Towne Market at 700 BRYDEN on Sunday, May 1st 2022 from 11am to 3pm!

The stretch along Parsons Ave from Bryden Rd to Broad St is now a walkable event created to feature the local galleries and artists that reside in the OTE neighborhood.

Starting @700bryden with 50+ local vendors and artists setup outside for the market, the Art Walk map encourages the public to visit the local businesses along the map and to explore the open galleries at @uppercup, @blackartplus and @themansion731 📍

In addition to the local eats on the map, we will also have food trucks and dessert trucks stationed at @700bryden and @themansion731 (@aloha.aina614 + @graeters614 + @opecoldbrew )

🌳Outdoor Adventures 2022

Outdoor Adventures returns in 2022! This event kicks off Screen Free Week, which is an annual event where children, families, schools and communities are encouraged to turn off screens and “turn on life” for 7 days. So come join the fun. Try your hand at kayaking and canoeing (weather permitting), rock climbing, archery, fishing, crafts, and disc golf. A number of community agencies will be present with information and activities. Then take a stroll on the Wildflower Fairy Trail. All activities free.  Plus you can grab lunch from the food trucks: Pitabilities and Poppy’s Roadside Diner!
