🦙Llama and Sheep Shearing Day @Stratford Ecological

Saturday 9 am-2 pm

Bring the whole family to Stratford for a WOOLY experience! Stratford will provide visitors with an engaging experience while the resident sheep and llamas receive their annual shearing. The flock will be shorn throughout the day, and our shearers will interpret the process from start to finish. Your family can visit stations to learn how wool is processed and enjoy lunch from a local food truck. Participate in hands-on fiber projects, visit the barn and walk the farm.

$5 per person, walk-ins welcome, but register now to let us know you’re coming to help us estimate the attendance for the day and guarantee a speedy check-in process when you get here!

IMPORTANT EVENT PARKING INFORMATION: Due to the amount of rain we’ve recently had, the farm is very muddy and parking will be limited.  We have arranged with the local township hall to utilize their parking lot and will have passenger vehicles operating as shuttles for event attendees.  Please plan to arrive at Stratford first to drop off everyone in your group, except the driver.  The driver will then park at the township located at 2590 Liberty Road (just a half mile north of Stratford on the left hand side).  There will be a vehicle to bring the driver back to enjoy the event with their group.   The same process will be utilized upon your departure as well.   We will keep a select amount of spots at Stratford reserved for those who are unable to shuttle to and from the township.  Thank you in advance for your understanding to help us be able to put in a fantastic community event!
