🦄Unicorn Unveiling

Join us for the unveiling of the much anticipated arrival of our Unicorn!

This Saturday at 2pm we will reveal our Unicorn and toast its arrival with champagne, cider and cake! There will also be photo opportunities. Refreshments are first come, first serve.

Our Unicorn is 10’ long, 6’ high and 4’ wide.  It is an interactive art sculpture commissioned for the Arts Park from Lagos, Nigeria, artist Ernest Nkwocha Ogbonna. This is one of several pieces going into the Imagination Space at the Arts Park.

Ernest is a new artist to the scene who makes unique sculptures from steel and recycled tires.  He was featured on The BBC and had a Ted Talk about his work. His art pieces have been largely limited to Europe, so we are fortunate to have him agree to place his work in our Art Park.

The Unicorn was commissioned this summer and paid for with grants from USA Today, and Ohio Arts Council ArtNext, as well as donations by the community including The two Kiwanis chapters, the Eagles and individual donors.
