Well, we have a 3 year old, happy birthday  little adventure girl!  Stars, princesses, trucks, markets, 4th be with you, swamps, bison and more.  I’m letting the birthday girl choose this weekend.  What will your family choose?

Explore The Rooms at Easton – a mysterious exhibit produced by COSI that engages your senses and allows you to investigate intriguing science concepts. You’re the key, so go ahead and unlock these themed rooms and explore illusions, be part of a social experiment, and see your surroundings in a new light.  

Please note: children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

Located on Level 1 of the Easton Station, The Rooms at Easton are open during these hours:

Monday-Thursday: 12 PM-8 PM

Friday-Saturday: 12 PM-9 PM

Sunday: 12 PM-6 PM

🚒City of Powell Touch-A-Truck

Enjoy a day of climbing, pretending and touching different kinds of vehicles at the annual Powell Touch–A–Truck event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, May 3. Dozens of vehicles will fill the area of the City’s Municipal Building Parking Lot, 47 Hall Street. This event also does double duty by educating youngsters about various aspects of the vehicles, such as their size, function and more! 

This event is made possible thanks to Mount Carmel Health, McClurg Properties, Jill Patricia King, Goldfish Swim School – Lewis Center, KEMBA Financial Credit Union, Auto Assets,  Giant Eagle and City Barbeque

⭐️Citywide Star Party and STEAM Family Night at McCord Park @ Worthington Community Center

Enjoy a free STEM-themed Family Night and Star Gazing Party at the Worthington Community Center. Families can enjoy hands-on STEAM activities inside the Community Center and outside at McCord Park. Outdoor activities will include stargazing through a telescope with an astronomer.

Join Metro Parks, COSI Columbus’ Dynamic Hands-On Science Center! and Ohio Wildlife Center at Blacklick Woods for an evening of stargazing, live animals and learning about creatures of the night as we look up to the night sky and see what’s out there! Live animals from 7-9PM. Binoculars and blankets are encouraged.

Join The Ohio State Department of Astronomy for a night of learning about the stars. The planetarium and Smith Lab roof will be open for the public to enjoy. There will be some fun activities like dry ice for making comets, star wheels, and more.

✨Glacier Ridge Star Party: Astronomy

Join Metro Parks, COSI Columbus’ Dynamic Hands-On Science Center! and Columbus Astronomical Society at Glacier Ridge to learn more about stargazing from experts as we look up to the night sky and see what’s out there! This is a rain, shine or cloudy location. Binoculars and blankets are encouraged. Enjoy food from the Scarlet and Grey Grill Food Truck.

⭐️Scioto Audubon Star Party: Starry Climbing Night

💫Citywide Star Party at Prairie Oaks Metro Park: Starlight Float

2755 Amity Rd, Hilliard

Join Metro Parks and COSI for an evening of stargazing and paddling as we look up to the night sky and see what’s out there! The stargazing event will take place from 7pm – 10pm, please see details below for paddling information. 

Activities at Prairie Oaks will include: telescope viewing, make a constellation sewing craft, star wheels, a red light pin, and more! Astronomers will also be on site to talk about and answer questions as you view the wonders of the night sky. 


Personal canoes and kayaks are permitted, and you do not need to pre-register if you are bringing your own kayak or canoe, but you must bring and wear your own personal flotation device. Due to the dark conditions of the event no one under the age of 8 will be permitted to paddle on the lake. Motorized boats, stand-up paddle boards, inner tube rings, buoys, rafts, air mattresses, beach balls or similar novelty devices of inflatable air cell construction, or any plastic foam flotation devices are prohibited. 

Metro Parks will be providing a limited number of canoes and kayaks. To participate in the float using a Metro Parks canoe/kayak you must pre-register for a one hour time slot. 

This event is weather dependent and may be canceled. 

Cancellation of the event will be announced at least 24 hours prior to the start time of the event.
