Great weather ahead!  This week has been crazy catching up from Labor Day weekend and I’m looking forward to some fun.  We love the honey festival! And there are so many other fun activities too.  It’s going to be a tough weekend to choose.

Join us for the largest celebration of social enterprise in Central Ohio on Saturday, September 7th from 11am to 8PMon W. Town Street near BrewDog in Franklinton. This outdoor festival will feature over 25 local social enterprises, entertainment, beverages from Ohio breweries, and delicious food from local food trucks. Proceeds from this event benefit The Festival for Good.

The Festival for Good was created to bring awareness to social enterprises operating in Central Ohio. While most people prefer to buy from companies that give back, few know what a social enterprise is or that nearly 100 of them exist right here in Columbus and surrounding communities. Join us to learn more and do good.

🦅35th Anniversary Celebration @ Ohio Wildlife

OhioWildlife Center will kick-off a celebration of its 35th Anniversary at a special public event September 8, 2019 from 12-4 the Center’s Education campus at 9000 Dublin Road in Powell. 

Guests will be able to tour the grounds, meet Animal Ambassadors and learn about the dynamic work in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation education that happens 365 days a year at the Center and free Wildlife Hospital. The event $5/person, and kids 5 and under are free. Admission is free with a donation of birdseed, dish soap, or other items on the Center’s wish list.

🐴All Horse Parade @ Delaware Fairgrounds

Can you imagine a line of horses, ponies, wagons, carriages, and even cowgirls and marching bands coming down the street? You can see it for yourself live and in-person on the streets of Delaware, Ohio every year on the Sunday immediately preceding the opening of the Delaware County Fair.

Bring your lawn chairs, friends and neighbors, and enjoy yourself at one of the largest annual horse parade gatherings east of the Mississippi! The parade steps off each year promptly at 3 pmfrom the main gate of the Delaware County Fairgroundsonto Pennsylvania Avenue. The parade route is 3 miles in length, providing ample viewing locations. The parade is circular in direction and returns to the fairgrounds. Parade admission is always free!
