Kids should wear closed toed shoes for going into the creek/river. No flip-flops or crocs. Old tennis shoes tend to work well. Rain boots are okay, just be aware there are deeper puddles in the creek where water may overflow the top of the rain boot.
Kids should bring a complete change of clothes to change into after the creek portion of the program, including dry shoes. Towels are encouraged to help dry off after the creek portion.
Insect repellent is encouraged. Please put on insect repellent prior to coming to the park. Due to wind, applying bug spray near shelters or playgrounds can cause spray to accidentally drift into others eyes.
