APRIL – COMMUNITY MURAL

Add your artistic flair to a temporary community mural. (In the event of inclement weather, the program will move indoors to the Combined Meeting Rooms.)

Jewelry, salsa and baked goods with an international flair will be offered and food trucks will be offering cuisine including Mediterranean, German, Korean, Mexican and more. Uptown Westerville’s many restaurants also feature flavors from around the globe including Thai, Greek, Italian and Turkish foods.

Children will find plenty to keep them smiling during the event. Look for the goofy antics of Good Medicine Productions on the way to the bounce house behind Jimmy V’s, 1 S. State S.

🎥Family Movie Night @ two.fifty.four

This FREE  FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT will feature a family-friendly film that should be fun for the whole family!  We’ll have typical movie snacks and treats for all.  Hang out after the movie and play some games with the family, too!

The New Albany Parks and Recreation 20th anniversary celebration continues at Thompson Park, Friday, July 26.  Festivities begin at 6pm.  The movie will start at dark.  Take a turn on the obstacle course, bungee run, climbing wall, and the Extreme Air inflatable. All of these events are free to the public   The New Albany food pantry will join us for Empty Bowls.  Paint a bowl for $10, proceeds benefit the food pantry.  Characters Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Jack-Jack will be there to greet you. Our presenting sponsor Shirck Orthodontics will be passing out frozen treats.

🧙🏼‍♀️Wizards Unite Tram Ride @ Sharon Woods

Calling all witches and wizards! Hop aboard the Hogwarts Express (aka the Metro Parks Tram) as we tour the park looking for magical traces and other artifacts of the Calamity. 

During our ride, we’ll discuss different aspects of the new Harry Potter Wizards Unite game, including inns, greenhouses, fortresses and more. As a bonus, the tram might travel slow enough to help unlock some of those prized and precious portkeys you have!

Meet at Platform 9 3/4 down by Schrock Lake. The train/tram departs at 2pm and will make an entire circuit of the park before it returns you back to where you got on.

Grandview Avenue’s summertime sidewalk market and outdoor block party celebrates all things local on the last Saturday of the month from June-September! More than 4,000 attendees join us during each event – which are all free to attend and open to all ages.

The Hop takes place along Grandview Avenue between 1st and 5th Avenues, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. the last Saturday of each month during the summer. The block party portion takes place in the street (we close down Grandview Avenue from 1st Avenue to Spagio)!

Our Endeavor Brewing Pop-up Beer Garden for Charity powered by M/I Homes, Inc. will return as part of the Outdoor Block Party. 100% of beer sales will be donated to charity!

Hop aboard the tram at any of the “tram stop” signs and enjoy a guided tour of the park. Last tour departs at 5:45pm.
