🛑Free Commons for Kids – Safety Day

Our Commons for Kids series brings families from Central Ohio to the heart of Downtown Columbus, Friday mornings between June 7 and August 9. Each week, a variety of activities keeps the kids entertained, including inflatables, face painting, crafts and much more! 

This week at Commons for Kids we are celebrating those who help keep us safe in our community. We will have both the Columbus Division of Police and the Columbus Division of Fire visiting our park to help teach you about public safety. They will be bringing some surprises, don’t miss out.

🐝Pollinator Herb Walk

Join the Ohio Herb Center’s Amanda Ferguson, “Gahanna’s Bee Whisperer”, for a pollinator focused herb walk at Woodside Green Park.  Participants will meet at the park message board by the pond at 10:30am.  Enjoy a 1 hour walk, studying the insects and the plants they love.  Cost-$7 per family

🍽Lunch with the Marysville Library @Memorial Health Pavilion

It brings together the Library’s longstanding summer reading tradition with a lunchtime meal, in an effort to combat summer learning loss and summer hunger.  The Library will distribute free meals to youth (ages 0-18) Mondays through Fridays throughout the summer at Memorial Health Pavilion. No lunches on July 4.

🎥Free Movie Night: Mary Poppins Returns

🐸Annual Frog Jump @ Coffman Park

It is once again time for the Dublin Kiwanis Frog Jump. The 2019 Frog Jump will be the 52nd year of this unique fundraising event for our organization. The 52nd promises to be a family-friendly fun event.

The Frog Jump will be held June 22, 2019, in Coffman Park at the corner of Post Road and Emerald Parkway. Things will be jumping there from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Along with the Frog Races, there will be inflatable rides, and other family friendly activities.

Open Barn Days are monthly events where we open the Sanctuary to the public, allowing you to visit and get to know the animals on a personal level.  Admission prices are: Adult (18+) Admission $10, Youth (4-17) Admission $5, and Children 3 and under are free. All funds raised go directly toward caring for the approximately 170 animals that call Sunrise home. We appreciate your purchasing tickets in advance so that we will have enough volunteers on hand to be able to answer your questions and help ensure a safe interaction with our animal family.
