⚽️Free Commons for Kids – Sports Day @ Columbus Commons

Our Commons for Kids series brings families from Central Ohio to the heart of Downtown Columbus, Friday mornings between June 7 and August 9. Each week, a variety of activities keeps the kids entertained, including inflatables, face painting, crafts and much more! 

This week are joined by some of Columbus’ local sports teams. Whether you are sporty and athletic or love arts and crafts, we have something for every kid!

🎥Movie in the Park: The Sandlot

6/14, 7-11 PM

7370 Groveport Road, Groveport

Join us for this FREE, family event!  Children’s activities for 12 & under begin at 7 PM. Movie begins at dusk. Get dinner and a treat with the food trucks on-site: Momma Can Cook, Chris’ Snack Shack, Kona Ice, and Our Daily Manna!

Don’t forget your lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray.  No pets or alcohol permitted.  Kids 14 & under must be accompanied by an adult. This is not a drop-off event. 

The Sandlot (rated PG) is a 1993 American coming-of-age baseball film. The movie tells the story of young baseball players during the summer of 1962. The film hit the box office 25 years ago. If you like baseball or softball, you will sure to love the classic comedy. Show your spirit and come dressed in your favorite baseball/softball jersey & cap. Free pre-movie baseball & softball themed activities and contests begin at 7 PM for kids 12 & under.

🎪Bexley’s Main Event — Outdoor Family Fun Activities and Movie

Join us for the summer hit, the Main Event! Each month, the City brings unique and fun programming centered around a movie which will be shown at sundown. Stay tuned on information regarding programming, food trucks, and other activities we have planned. We’re looking forward to another fun summer season!

June’s movie: Shrek (PG)

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek (Mike Myers) whose precious solitude is suddenly shattered by an invasion of annoying fairy tale characters. They were all banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow). Determined to save their home – not to mention his – Shrek cuts a deal with Farquaad and sets out to rescue Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) to be Farquaad’s bride. Rescuing the Princess may be small compared to her deep, dark secret.

🌕Moonlight Market

The Moonlight Market is a monthly outdoor street festival / marketplace on Gay Street in Downtown Columbus. It takes place every Second Saturday from April through October. The event draws thousands of visitors each month to enjoy the brick-and-mortar businesses in the area who stay open late with extended hours and special promotions, in addition to over 100 sidewalk vendors who pop-up to sell a wide variety of artisan products. Street musicians add musical ambiance and sidewalk patios come alive with al fresco diners. Mark your calendar and join us at the next Moonlight Market on Gay Street!

🐴Father’s Day Carriage Rides @ Easton

160 Easton Town Ctr, Columbus

Horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered through the North District, with pick up located across from Eddie Bauer. Cost is $10 per person, cash only. Children under 15 ride free with paying adult.

Please note, rides are weather permitting. Line may be cut off early due to high demand.
