Yeah for May! There are fun family events happening this weekend. Throw in a nature program and you will be set for the weekend!

🐟Ohio Free Fishing Days

As part of Ohio’s Free Fishing Days, residents are invited to fish in all public waters, including the Ohio River and Lake Erie from May 5 to 6, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

🌽Opening Day at the Worthington Farmer’s Market

🐥Visit with Animals from Ohio Wildlife Center at Duck’s Donuts

We are going NUTS over baby animals!  We are partnering all month long to help provide high need items for Ohio Wildlife!  Donate a 1lb bag of unsalted nuts or a container of laundry detergent at the Dublin location anytime in May and receive a FREE 1/2 dozen donuts!

🔥Fire Safety Storytime with UA Firefighter David Wisner at Cover to Cover Books

Upper Arlington firefighter and paramedic David Wisner will talk and read about fire safety for children. He will show them around a real fire engine and medic truck.  Books being read are “Alphabet Rescue” and “What If There Is A Fire”.

🌱Coffman Homestead Open House at Dublin Historical Society

The Fletcher Coffman Homestead typifies American farm life of the 1800s. The Civil War era brick house and adjoining farm buildings are a testimonial to the hard working people who constituted the second generation of Ohio pioneer families.

Visit the heirloom veggie garden with 2 apple trees grown from twigs from the last remaining apple tree in Ohio that was planted by Johnny Appleseed. Also visit the one room schoolroom where you can sit on benches, write on slate with chalk, view textbooks and toys from the 1800-1900s and meet a schoolmarm dressed in costume.

Help us decorate our local parks!  Liz from Preservation Parks will teach you how to make an origami butterfly that will be featured in a local Delaware park.  Free and fun for all ages.
