🥚City of Delaware Easter Egg Hunt & Family Festival! @ Delaware Veterans Park

We’re growing! This year we have two Easter Egg Hunt times and we have added a Family Festival! 

The Annual City of Delaware Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 20th, at  9:30 AM and 11:00 AM sharp at Veterans Park (by the YMCA). Both Easter Egg Hunts will be identical – please choose one to attend. Eggs will be spread out among 5 age groups (Ages 1-9). Bring your basket. 

From 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM there will be Family Festival inside the YMCA with activities for the kids, community partners, an inflatable and the Easter Bunny will be available for (free) photos  thanks to Journey Community Church. Journey Delaware.

A big Thank You to Southeast Inc. for volunteering to stuff the eggs and to the YMCA Teen Leaders Club for spreading the eggs. 

Parking will be limited. Please plan on carpooling.

🥚GPS Egg Hunt @ Sharon Woods Metro Park

Enjoy a non-traditional and high tech Easter egg hunt. We’ll teach you how to use a GPS unit to find plastic eggs hidden in the park. Find 4 or more eggs, record the secret picture from each egg and earn a prize! 

Note: Please leave your baskets, bags, etc at home. In this non-traditional hunt, eggs are not being collected and will instead be left in place for everyone to find throughout the program. You will stamp your paper with a unique stamper found within each egg to “collect” that egg.

Join the Antibullying Empower You organization  community event “Chalk Art Walk -Kindness is Cool” at the Columbus Public S. High St library location on Saturday, April 20th from 10-12 noon.

The event is free and open to the public. The Chalk Walk is a great way for students and the community to learn about bullying in a positive, proactive way by showing the importance of small acts of kindness and empowerment can bring joy to others. 

As a first grade teacher in the southside community, It is important for our youth to learn how to be accepting to different backgrounds can have such a impact in people lives.

Mrs. Carmen Ostermann, Art Teacher at Children’s Academy will be assisting the community event to help us create some positive messages against Bullying!!!!

🥚Clintonville’s Easter Egg Hunt @ Whetstone Park of Roses

Participate in this great community tradition, when our little ones are able to hunt for candy-filled Easter eggs in the beautiful Whetstone Park, Lower Meadow. The hunt won’t last for long, so don’t be late! Our hunt is broken up into areas for various age groups, 0-10, and we’ll be selling doughnuts and hot drinks as well.

🥚Easter Egg Hunt at Schiller Park @ Schiller Park

For the 71st year, the Columbus Southeast Lions will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Schiller Park for children ages 10 and under.   There will also be representatives from the Columbus Fire Department allowing children to tour their fire engines.  They will sound their siren at 10 AM sharp to start the hunt.  Every lucky child who finds a golden egg will be able to exchange for a chocolate Easter bunny from Winans!

🥚Easter Egg Hunt and Splatter Party @ Goodale Park

Paint Palette Parties is in search of children and teens to attend a party where promotional photos will be taken.

Children 0-10 will be asked to throw nontoxic washable paint filled eggs at a large canvas then hunt for Easter eggs and candy. (Easter baskets not provided.)

Tweens and teens 11-17 will be asked to have a paint fight with either water guns, waterballoons, or other water toys filled with dilluted nontoxic washable paint. Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting paint all over (light colors preferred). Please bring towels!

We’ll have live music all afternoon, some of the city’s best food trucks, family activities, eco-vendors and crafts, science demos from COSI Columbus’ Dynamic Hands-On Science Center!, and much more.

Libations will be provided in partnership with Great Lakes Brewing Company and Middle West Spirits. All guests will be carded, so please bring a valid driver’s license. Beers: $6.

We’re committed to reducing plastic waste, which is why we’re offering multiple options for beverages this year. Buy a stainless steel pint cup with your beverage token from the merch tent and save $2 off your first pour and $1 all pours after that! 🐖Open Barn Days 2019

Open Barn Days are monthly events where we open the Sanctuary to the public, allowing you to visit and get to know the animals on a personal level.  Admission prices are: Adult (18+) Admission $10, Youth (4-17) Admission $5, and Children 3 and under are free. All funds raised go directly toward caring for the approximately 170 animals that call Sunrise home. We appreciate your purchasing tickets in advance so that we will have enough volunteers on hand to be able to answer your questions and help ensure a safe interaction with our animal family. We do allow you to purchase tickets the day of, assuming we are not sold out.
