🐴Morning Chores at Slate Run Farm

Ages 5+.  Join the farmer in feeding animals and help with other barnyard chores.

🌎Earth Day 2018 at Highbanks

Help rid the park of litter and invasive plants.  Plant trees and work to beautify the garden beds of the park.  Register through the park website.

🌱Earth Week Sapling Planting at Smith Nature Park
‪4/14, 9 AM-12 PM‬
1270 Fishinger Rd. Upper Arlington
Join us for planting saplings in the areas freshly cleared of honeysuckle!  We will have plenty of small, root saplings that will be easy to plant, so it is a great event for families.  Wear closed toed shoes and long pants for safety.  We will provide the shovels and yard gloves, but feel free to bring your own favorite tools.  Meet at the west side of the park.

🌷Spring Scavenger Hunt at Homestead Park

Stop by the nature center to pick up your scavenger hunt.  Find signs of animals getting ready for spring.

📚Storytime at the Fancyburg Park Storywalk

Join us for an interactive reading of ‘Tap the Magic Tree’ by Christie Matheson.  Follow 20 panels around the playground and hear the charming story about the changing seasons.  We’ll wrap up with a craft.

🌈Colors Scavenger Hunt at Highbanks

Take a walk and look for all the colors of the rainbow in the flowers, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and anything else that can be found in the park.

🐑Sheep on the Farm at Slate Run Metro Park and Living Historical Farm

Watch sheep shearing, meet the lambs and learn about the uses of wool.

🌳Scioto Grove Spring Cleaning
‪4/14, 1-3:30 PM‬

Join us to spring clean the park!  We will be removing trash and litter from the flood plain along the Mingo Trail.  Some gloves will be provided.  Meet at south canoe access-282 Hibbs Rd. Grove City.

🐝For Families: Native Bees at Homestead Park

Learn about native bees and the plants who depend upon these fascinating animals for survival.  Easy 1/2 mile walk.

🐸Frog Frenzy at Three Creeks

Bring a flashlight and your wading shoes to search for frogs and listen to their mating calls.

🍃Drop in Discovery: Flying Seeds at Deer Haven Park

Soar over to Deer Haven Visitor Center to check out all the ways seeds travel.  Participate in activities and crafts to learn about these floating, flying, and falling seeds.
