Capture your love! Treat your Valentine to a romantic memory at Easton and visit the Central Park Fountain for a complimentary photo on February 15 from 5-8 PM.

Valentine’s Day photos are weather dependent and may be moved inside. 

🐴Valentine’s Carriage Rides @ Easton Town Center

2/15 – 2/17, 6-10 PM

Horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered for Valentine’s Day and the weekend thereafter at Easton in the North District and through Fenlon Square. Rides run the following days:

February 15, 6-10PM

February 16, 6-10PM

February 17, 3-7PM

Cost is $10 per person. Children under 15 ride free with paying adult.

Valentine’s Day Carriage Rides are weather dependent. Please note the line may be cut off prior to closing time due to demand.

Discover the wonder of this local Ohio natural food.  Join our experienced Sugar Cookers for a hands-on experience in the sugar bush.  Learn how to tap a maple tree, help collect sap, experience the evaporation process in the sugar shack, while spending time in Stratford’s beautiful forest!

Local maple syrup will be available for purchase.

Hour long tours begin every half hour from 10am to Noon.

🍁Maple Sugaring @ Homestead Park

Learn about how maple trees are used to produce maple syrup. Take a short walk to a maple tree to see how trees are tapped to collect sap. Then see the process of boiling the sap to make syrup. See if you can taste the difference between corn-syrup and the REAL maple syrup!

🍴Making Sausage @ Gallant Farm Park

Traditionally hog butchering was done in the winter so meat wouldn’t spoil while being processed. Sausage was often made from the trimmings, then seasoned and smoked to preserve over the winter. Learn how to make fresh sausage; then sample the product with fresh eggs. Free, all ages.

🦁Presidents’ Day – Free Admission Day at the Columbus Zoo

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will continue its tradition of offering free admission on Presidents’ Day, the federal holiday created in honor of the nation’s first president, George Washington. This special admission offer is presented by Fifth Third Bank. Guests can enjoy free admission from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2019. Standard parking fees ($10 per vehicle; free for Zoo members) will still apply.

The Columbus Children’s Theatre is presents “Balloonacy,” a story about an old man, set in his routine, who wordlessly prepares to celebrate his birthday alone until a little red balloon surprises him with a lesson in fun and friendship. Adapted for the stage by Barry Kornhauser. Produced by special arrangement with Plays For Young Audiences. Both performances are included with admission to the Conservatory.

⛸School’s Out Skate on Presidents Day @ Worthington Community Center

2/18, 11 AM-7 PM

Kids! While you’re out of school on Presidents Day, bundle up and visit the Community Center to give “ice-less ice skating” a try!  Here for one day only on February 18 from 11 AM – 7 PM. It’s free! 

You can bring your own skates to use on the ice-less ice rink, or use the skates provided by SuperGames. Parents who wish to be on the ice with their children but not skate will be given covers for their shoes.

(Each participant is required to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver provided by SuperGames before participating)

🌳Free Learn to Hunt Program! @ Sportsman Alliance

Based on the success of our inaugural Learn to Hunt Program, and demand for more, the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation will host a second program to start 2019!

Once a week, from Feb. 4 to April 28, 35 participants of all ages, and with little or no background in the outdoors, will receive the critical training required to become new hunters. The Learn to Hunt Program will take you from the classroom, to the field, to the table, and will include everything from hunter safety certification and firearms instruction to hunting strategies and calling techniques. The Learn to Hunt program is free of charge. This course is designed and intended for participants with little or no hunting experience. Youth must be accompanied by an adult also interested in learning to hunt. All educational materials, firearms, ammunition, hunting licenses and fees will be covered.
