Experience the spellbinding magic of your library during Midnight Madness in Uptown Westerville. A night of otherworldly adventure awaits you as the library is transformed into a wizarding wonderland. Enjoy a walk-through experience of activities, including science experiments, live animals, stilt walkers, art & technology demonstrations, magicians, and more!

Days of Knights is a public educational event that strives to bring you a historically accurate re-creation of several time periods from the era known as the Middle Ages.  Visitors will be able to walk through a timeline encampment featuring living history enthusiasts re-creating the Norman invaders of Britain in 1066, crusaders from the 1200s, archers and knights from the 100 Years War, and many others.  FREE EVENT.   

🎃Trick or Treat at the Boo-tanical Gardens @Franklin Park Conservatory

Trick-or-treat among thousands of pumpkins, mums and other colorful fall foliage at Franklin ParkConservatory, from 10am-5pm Oct. 26& 27! This year’s event is bigger than ever, with treat stations throughout the indoor plant biomes as well as the outdoor spaces of The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden. 

General admission is required. The Conservatory provides the trick-or-treating experience at no additional charge to regular daily admission.

🐶1st Annual Spooky Pooch Parade

Ghouls, goblins, and ghosts… oh my! Dress your pet in their best costume and bring them to Huber Park for the 1st Annual Spooky Pooch Parade, Saturday, October 26th.

Festivities get underway with the Spooky Pooch Festival beginning at 12:00 p.m.at Huber Park.  Enjoy entertainment, kids’ games and dog-related vendors offering canine-oriented goods and services.  Kids are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.

The much-anticipated dog parade commences at 1 p.m.  Dogs of all shapes and sizes dressed in their finest Halloween fashions will strut their stuff along the walking path of Huber Park! All entries should meet in the parking lot behind the ball diamonds of Huber Park at 12:30 pm.

Judges will award prizes beginning at approximately 2:15 p.m.in a number of categories, including Best Pooch & Child, Best Pooch & Adult, and Spookiest Pooch.  Contestants must participate in the parade in order to be eligible to win.

The parking lot will be transformed into a trick-or-treater’s treasure chest as local businesses and organizations set up booths and car trunks filled with candy, toys and other Halloween goodies. 

Wear your best Halloween costume and bring canned food items to benefit People In Need, Inc.of Delaware County Food Pantry.

Come dressed in your finest ghoulish gear and join our family friendly event. Calling all dogs and their humans! Get your costumes ready! We will have a dog costume contest at the dog park, games, crafts, a doggie treat scavenger hunt, adoptable dogs, a bounce house for the kids, treats for the whole family, and plenty of time for dogs to play in our 4 acre dog park. Golden Boy Biscuits will be there with homemade treats for sale. Followed by an optional parade (hike) through Infirmary Mound Park! Spectators are encouraged to bring chairs. Polite, leashed dogs welcome. Prizes donated by Granville Milling Company.

The 2019 German Village Pet Parade presented by the German Village Fun Bunch will be on Sunday, October 27that Schiller Park. Whether you’re going cute and cuddly, freaky furry or gothic glam, you’re not going to want to miss this spooktacular event! 

Registration is from 2-3pm. There will be local rescues + pet-related vendors set up in the park for you to explore after you register. The costume contest will begin at 3pm.
