Local Maple syrup will be available for purchase.

🦉Great Backyard Bird Count at Grange Insurance Audubon

Join us for the Great Backyard Bird Count, one of the largest citizen science programs in the world. Thousands of people across the globe will be out with their binoculars recording the birds they see and inputting that data into the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s E-bird database.
You do not need binoculars or a field guide as we can provide them. just bring a smile, warm clothes, and a passion for birds! light refreshments will be provided.

🔥Family Adventures: Camping in the Old Ways at Infirmary Mound Park

Spend a little or a lot of time at this program that will include demonstrations and discussion of ideas for camping and firemaking. Old style camping is fun and exercise and trains the mind in preparedness for less convenient times outside the home.There will be hands-on fire striking with ferrocerrite rods, as well as opportunities to make some s’mores.

🌳Maple Sugaring: Syrup Time

Learn how sugar maple trees are used to make maple syrup. Take a short walk to a maple tree to see how trees are tapped to collect sap. Then see the process of boiling the sap to make syrup. See if you can taste the difference between corn-syrup and the REAL maple syrup! Meet at Bulletin Board at Picnic Shelter.

The Delaware Count Model Railroaders open their model train (HO scale) displays one weekend a month at the Sandel Legacy Trailhouse in Sunbury. Visitors can watch the trains travel through a miniature village and countryside, and ask club members about the history of
